Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker. Current registration with (SACSSP) for 2026. The applicant must be computer literate and in possession of a valid South African driver’s licence. No experience required. Exposure working at CHBAH will be added advantage. Preference will be given to the current CHBAH Covid staff. Skills/ competence and knowledge: Counselling, Communication, Planning, organising, problem solving, time management, stress management, conflict resolution and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Knowledge and understanding of the South African Legislation pertaining to social services. Diversity management: must be able to work effectively, cooperatively, amicable with persons of diverse intellectual, cultural, racial, or religious differences. Internship / practicum placement at a Health setting – Hospital or Primary Health Care Facility will be an added advantage.
