Requirements
Appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Emergency Medicine – MMed (Emergency Medicine) and FCEM(SA). HPCSA registration as an Independent/Public Specialist Medical Practitioner. Proof of current registration with HPCSA (2026/2027). Extensive and relevant experience of working in Emergency Departments of Regional and/or Tertiary Hospitals. Medical practitioners who have completed their specialist training and passed the Part 2 Fellowship Examination in Emergency Medicine but are still awaiting registration with HPCSA may apply. Up to date professional knowledge and skills in Emergency Medicine. Responsible management of human and other resources. Excellent leadership, communication, professional and interpersonal skills.
