Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. A minimum of seven (7) years appropriate/ recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council for 2026. Diploma in Health Services Management/Nursing Administration will be an added advantage. Exposure working at CHBAH will be added advantage. Preference will be given to the current CHBAH Covid staff. Competencies/knowledge/skills: Competencies: leadership, ward management/ward administration, planning, organizing, co-ordination and communication skills. Ability to take charge and make appropriate independent decisions. Display empathy for patients, promoting advocacy and facilitate holistic treatment and care. Knowledge of administrative policies and guidelines. Knowledge of legal prescripts that regulate nursing and health services. Computer literacy i.e. (Ms Word, Power Point). Ability to work independently and innovatively. Facilitation and presentation skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.
